What Is Monopoly Roulette Live By Evolution?

MONOPOLY Roulette Live is a live casino release from Evolution in 2026, bringing together two of the most recognisable games in the world: European roulette and Hasbro's iconic MONOPOLY board game.

The game is designed around the same mechanical foundation that inspired Evolution’s Red Door Roulette, but it replaces the Crazy Time-inspired bonus rounds with two brand new Monopoly-themed features.

Now, of course, this isn’t Evolution's first Monopoly-inspired release; the original MONOPOLY Live launched back in 2019 and helped to pioneer the live game show craze, but MONOPOLY Roulette takes a totally different approach because instead of a giant money wheel, you’re playing real European roulette.

Gameplay & Features

The main game is designed around a standard European roulette wheel, and this means you'll see numbers 1 through 36 plus a single zero. The main difference comes in that before each spin, a slot machine on the side of the table activates.

This slot then distributes between 3 and 7 Monopoly bonus symbols onto random numbers on the grid. Some of those numbers can also receive a pre-spin multiplier of between 2x and 5x. We'll talk more about how this all works later in our playing guide

Now, alongside the Monopoly symbols, Mr Monopoly himself can also randomly assign up to five Community Chest symbols to other numbers, which are separate from the main numbers. These are part of a different bonus round, again, details of which we’ll look at shortly.

To trigger either bonus, you need to win a Straight Up bet on a marked number, so the same core mechanic found inside Red Door Roulette. Inside and outside numbers continue to pay normally.

For players who want to chase the bonuses without manually covering individual numbers every round, Evolution has introduced two dedicated bet spots: the Bonus Chaser, which automatically covers all numbers carrying a MONOPOLY symbol, and the Chest Chaser, which does the same for all Community Chest numbers. Other than that, it’s pretty much exactly the same as European roulette!

Wheel, Interface, and User Experience

The studio for MONOPOLY Roulette Live is one of the more impressive sets Evolution has built in recent years, in our opinion. The design looks very much like Art Deco, so, expect to see gold trim, archways, marble flooring, and a bit of an “old money” vibe.

Through the large windows in the background you can see a cityscape, one that’s clearly been inspired by the classic board game's fictional metropolis, and it looks great, plays smoothly, and, like all Evolution titles, is fully mobile-optimised, too.

How To Play Monopoly Roulette Live

MONOPOLY Roulette Live is accessible to pretty much anyone who’s ever played European roulette before, and, in our opinion, the bonus round mechanics don’t really complicate things at all.

At the start of every round, you’ll have a betting window of around 20 seconds, and you use this time to place chips. You can bet on any combination of numbers or betting areas; although, if you want a shot at triggering the bonus rounds, you need at least one Straight Up bet.

Once the betting window closes, the host then pulls a lever. The slot machine then lands on a number between 5 and 9, which represents both the number of dice rolls available in the bonus round and the number of Monopoly symbols added to the grid. At the same time, up to five additional numbers are marked by Community Chest symbols, too.

Once the symbols have been assigned, the roulette ball is released, and the wheel spins. Standard bets pay at their normal rates as usual, and if the ball lands on a bonus number and you have a Straight Up bet on it, you enter the respective bonus round. Furthermore, if that number carries a pre-spin multiplier, your winnings in the bonus are multiplied accordingly.

Monopoly Roulette Live Bonus Rounds

MONOPOLY Bonus

This feature is the game’s core bonus, and it’s a fantastic digital recreation of the original Monopoly board, like we've seen in a previous Evolution release, Monopoly Big Baller. As the bonus opens up, 40 spaces are in view, including Properties, Utilities, Railways, Free Parking, Go to Jail, Chance, Community Chest, the tax squares, and GO.

Before the bonus round begins, random multipliers are all assigned to Properties, Utilities, Railways, and the Free Parking spaces - and some properties also receive houses or hotels, which further increase the multiplier values.

You then receive five to nine dice rolls. Evolution uses real dice here, which is always a nice touch. Mr Monopoly moves around the board with each roll, collecting the values of every property space he lands on, and there are a few special spaces, too.

If you roll a double, then you earn an extra dice roll unless that double is being used to escape jail, in which case no bonus roll is awarded. If Mr Monopoly passes Go, then all prize values on the board are doubled, and landing on income tax knocks 10% off of your accumulated winnings. Super tax, on the other hand, takes 20%. Landing on 'Go to Jail' sends Mr Monopoly to the jail space, from which he can only escape by rolling a double.

Community Chest Bonus

The Community Chest Bonus is the faster, simpler of the two features, and it basically functions as a clean pick-me mechanic. When triggered, three cards appear on screen, and each carries a multiplier between 20x and 300x. You simply choose a card, and you’re then awarded the value of that card.

Payouts, Probabilities & RTP

The overall RTP for standard bets in MONOPOLY Roulette Live is 97.30%, which is very good and definitely in line with what we normally see from European roulette. The trade-off, as with most bonus-round-based live roulette games, is the Straight Up bet. This pays 19:1 rather than the standard 35:1.

Here's a full breakdown of bet types, coverage, and payouts:

BetCoversPayout
Straight Up1 Number19:1 - 4,999:1
Split2 Numbers17:1

Column12 Numbers2:1
Dozen12 Numbers2:1
Red/Black18 Numbers1:1
Even/Odd18 Numbers1:1

What is worth noting is that the RTP of the Straight-Up bet is a bit lower than normal, 96.59%, but, to be honest, that’s still good, and higher than what you’d usually see in most modern video slots.

Streaming Quality

Evolution's production quality on MONOPOLY Roulette Live is exactly what you'd expect from the clear market leader, and that is to say, excellent. The video stream is really smooth and renders in full high definition, and you'll find multiple camera angles covering the roulette wheel, the slot machine lever and displaying close-ups of the host.

The audio is also really nicely done, and you'll hear the Monopoly-themed background music playing at a level that makes the game feel quite atmospheric but without overwhelming the hosts' commentary.

Like most Evolution titles, you can also chat with other players and the host directly. The game is also fully mobile-optimised, allowing you to enjoy the action no matter where you're playing.

Monopoly Roulette Live Stats Tracking

Like all of Evolution's live dealer games, MONOPOLY Roulette Live uses a certified roulette wheel that's tested by third-party certification bodies. Any digital elements of the game use a certified random number generator, too, and don't forget, each spin is 100% random and independent from previous spins.

Now, that said, there is a basic built-in stats tracker that shows recent winning numbers and a record of which bonus rounds have been triggered and their final times-stake multipliers.

However, for a lot of players, those basic statistics tracking just isn't enough, and that's one of the reasons why here at CasinoTrackpot we've developed our own tracking tool so you can see how the game plays out in the long run. Why? Because Evolution's built-in tool only shows you game data for the last hundred or so rounds, and this doesn't really allow you to build a clear picture of how the game actually plays and what kind of volatility profile it's been adhering to.

Of course, a stats tracker can't help you to win more money while playing the game, but what it can do is give you a practical overview of the pace of the game, how often the Monopoly bonus has been triggering, how frequently Community Chest has been coming up, and what kind of multiplier payouts the bonuses have been awarding.

Conclusion & Verdict

MONOPOLY Roulette Live is one of the better live releases we’ve seen from Evolution in a while, and we really like how they’ve brought back the Monopoly Bonus board game that we first experienced in MONOPOLY Live. It was a big hit then, and we imagine it will be here, too.

Now, sure, there's an argument for saying there's not really enough "new" action here, because the Monopoly Bonus board plays out pretty much identically to the original, with the difference being you start with a minimum of five rolls. The community chest bonus is a little underwhelming, too, and seems to be there more to bring up the RTP than anything else.

Still, it's a relatively good game overall, and to us it feels like Evolution has tried to develop a live roulette title that doesn't stray too far away from the core roulette principles but still offers the entertaining bonus rounds that have proved so incredibly popular in recent years with releases like Crazy Time and Funky Time.

Of course, you've got the 19-to-1 straight-up number payout, which is reduced from 35-to-1, but that's to be expected. There simply isn't any other way that a roulette game can include bonus round payouts without either lowering the payout for straight-up bets like this or by charging you an additional side bet to play with the chance of triggering bonuses. The latter isn't really something players like, so Evolution didn't have much choice here.

Overall, Monopoly Roulette Live is a good release and one we’d be happy to return to from time to time. With its familiar Monopoly charm and straightforward roulette-style action, it has the right mix to appeal to a wide live casino audience.
