Your Personal History

This panel keeps a private, on-device history of the rounds you’ve personally observed.
It quietly saves recent results in your browser so the page can remember droughts, patterns, and what’s happened since your last visit, without accounts and without sending anything to a server.

The data is stored locally on this device only and is used to show personal droughts, records, and visit summaries that global stats can’t provide.

Mark As Seen

Sets a personal checkpoint at the current round. When you return later, the tracker shows exactly what’s happened since your last visit, including rounds played, bonuses landed, and the highest multiplier in that period.

Monopoly Live is one of Evolution’s most creative live casino games, and for many players, it was the first title (or second, if you include Dream Catcher) that truly kicked off the gameshow-based live casino craze.

Monopoly Live offers cutting-edge augmented reality, and while it was released back in 2019, it remains one of the studio’s most successful releases to date and is still played frequently by players.

In our Monopoly Live review, we’ll explore exactly how the game works, what each feature does, the odds and RTP, and whether it’s still worth playing in the modern era of live casino gameshows.

Gameplay & Features

At its core, Monopoly Live is a money-wheel game based on the classic property trading game and built around the iconic Dream Catcher format. An energetic live game host spins a large vertical wheel divided into numbered and bonus segments, and you and other players are given the task of betting on where you think the wheel will stop spinning.

What really helped to make Monopoly Live so popular, however, were the fully integrated bonus rounds, which transport you into a 3D Monopoly world, where you get to play a version of the board game, collecting multipliers and prizes, all under the eye of the virtual Mr Monopoly himself!

The wheel features 54 segments, each representing either a number or a bonus trigger. You can bet on 1, 2, 5, 10, or the bonus rounds, which include 2 rolls and 4 rolls. There are also Chance segments, although these can’t be bet on: more on those later.

Every time the wheel is spun, it lands either on a standard number, awarding a payout, a multiplier event triggers, or one of the two Monopoly board bonus rounds.

Studio, Interface & User Experience

Monopoly Live is filmed in Evolution’s state-of-the-art Riga studio, and the game is presented by professional live hosts who are all very energetic and, in fairness, all very good at their job.

The set design is impressive, and you’ll see a large glossy spinning wheel, bright lights, and an AR-rendered Mr Monopoly that sits on the left-hand side of the wheel and jumps up and down when things happen!

Like all Evolution releases, Mr Monopoly is fully mobile optimised, so you can enjoy the action on both desktop and mobile devices, and the user interface is simple and easy to use. At the bottom of the screen you’ll find the betting layout, of which there are six different options: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 Rolls, and 4 Rolls.

The interface also includes a chat window for live interaction with both the host and other players, and this can make it quite fun, as you get to ask the host questions. Provided these questions or comments aren’t rude, the presenter will often interact back with you!

How to Play Monopoly Live

Starting Monopoly Live is straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting started:

1. Place your bets:

At the beginning of each round, you’re given around 20 seconds to place your bets for the following round. You can bet on any combination of 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 rolls, or 4 rolls.

Each number represents a multiplier corresponding to its face value. For example, betting on 10 pays 10:1 if the wheel lands on it. The 2- and 4-roll options are both how you enter the game’s bonus round. If you do not cover these numbers when betting, and the wheel lands on a 2 or 4 Rolls segment, you do not get to play the corresponding bonus.

2. Watch the wheel Spin:

Once the wheel stops spinning, the segment it lands on determines the outcome. If it lands on a number, you win that number multiplied by your stake, and if it lands on Chance, you receive an instant cash prize or multiplier. We’ll talk more about this later on. As mentioned, if it lands on 2 Rolls or 4 Rolls, the Monopoly board bonus round begins!

3. Collect Winnings & Continue

After each round, winnings are credited automatically. The next round begins after another 20 or so seconds, and you can also use Evolution’s “Repeat Bet” and “Autoplay” functions to speed up/automate the betting process.

Bonus Games

While betting on the standard numbers can provide consistent, smaller wins, the entire point of Monopoly Live is its bonus rounds. These are where massive multipliers and unique Monopoly-based elements come into play, and when looking at the wheel, you’ll see three special segments: Chance, 2 Rolls, and 4 Rolls. Each of these is key to triggering a bonus, and we’ll explain how they all work below.

Chance

The Chance segment acts like a wild card on the wheel. When the wheel lands here, Mr Monopoly presents a Chance card, and this card then positions itself in the centre of the screen and reveals one of the following:

If a multiplier is awarded, all players’ bets remain in place, and the wheel is re-spun. The multiplier is then applied to the outcome of the following spin, whether it’s a number or another bonus round.

If you get really lucky (it’s very rare, though), it’s also possible for multiple multipliers to stack on top of one another if the Chance segment lands more than once in a row. This can be especially lucrative if you manage to hit a multiplier and then trigger one of the main bonus rounds.

2 Rolls / 4 Rolls Bonus

Landing on the 2/4 Rolls segment triggers the Monopoly board bonus round, where you’re transported to a fully 3D, animated version of the classic Monopoly board.

Depending on whether you trigger the bonus round with 2 or 4 rolls, you’ll see Mr Monopoly rolling two virtual dice (two of four times.)

The total number rolled determines how many spaces he moves. Each property space on the board represents a multiplier, and these values increase with every pass of GO.

During the round, classic Monopoly mechanics apply, with spaces like Chance, Community Chest, Utilities, Jail, and Super Tax influencing the outcomes. For example, if you land on a Property space, you receive an instant cash prize worth up to 500x, while Income/Super Tax segments deduct a portion of your current bonus round winnings.

The round ends once all 2/4 rolls have been used. However, if you roll a double at any point, you are awarded +1 roll of the dice, and this is key, as it’s the latter rolls that offer the highest win potential.

Payouts, Probabilities, and RTP

Below is a detailed breakdown of Monopoly Live’s wheel composition, probabilities, and potential payouts. Remember, there are a total of 54 segments on the wheel, but not all of them can be bet on:

BetSegmentsProbabilityPayout
12240.74%1:1
21527.78%2:1
5712.96%5:1
1047.41% 10:1
2 Rolls35.56%Triggers Bonus
4 Rolls11.85%Triggers Bonus

It’s quite interesting to break down the wheel. As you can see, numbered segments make up 48 of the total 54, so these are, by far, the most frequent results to land. There are just four Monopoly Board bonus round segments, of which only one is 4 Rolls, and this is why the probability of landing it is just so low: 1.85%.

The game also offers a variable RTP depending on which bets you place. It’s a little complex to get into here, but the “advertised” RTP is 96.23%, which is, essentially, the highest RTP in the game. The true RTP can drop to as low as 91%.

Streaming Quality

As you’d expect from Evolution, Monopoly Live’s production quality is outstanding, and the game runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so you can enjoy the action no matter what time of day, or night, you’re playing.

The game also displays in Full HD, and camera angles dynamically shift during gameplay. This includes close-ups of the wheel to shots of Mr Monopoly jumping around when one of the bonus rounds triggers.

The audio is excellent, too, and very crisp. Evolution really has nailed production when it comes to live dealer games, and they’re not the clear market leader for no reason.

All of their games, whether it’s iconic releases like Crazy Time or newer titles like Funky Time, offer superb streaming quality; the games even automatically adjust the video stream resolution if it detects a slow internet connection to help prevent lag.

Monopoly Live Statistic Tracking

Monopoly Live includes some basic built-in statistics, displaying recent results, but these are fairly limited, and this is why many players choose to use sites like ours to get more detailed and comprehensive information about previous game rounds.

Why Do Players Check Previous Spin Results?

It’s mainly for psychological and entertainment value. Players often look for perceived “patterns”, like “4 Rolls hasn’t landed in 100 spins, so it must be “due soon”. Of course, this doesn’t make any sense from a mathematical point of view, but it’s pretty easy to see why many players choose to think like this.

It’s also quite nice just to be able to see how the game’s actually been playing. While Evolution’s built-in tracker does show basic information for previous rounds, it doesn’t tell you much about how they played out, which is what stats trackers like ours can.

It’s also just human nature to want to see how a game’s been playing. No matter what strategy you’re following, there are always going to be times when you’re gambling and you decide to ‘take a punt’. Maybe you’ve noticed there have been a lot of bonus rounds landing recently and want to back the trend, or perhaps you have only seen low ones and twos landing and decide to mix things up with larger bets on the 5/10 numbers.

Are There Any Benefits To Using Stats Trackers on Monopoly Live?

In reality, no pattern guarantees future outcomes. However, tracking can give insight into volatility and bonus frequency, which can, ultimately, help you with bankroll management. As we just mentioned, using stats trackers can also help you to decide which bets to place and how large/small to stake, regardless of whether doing so has any actual basis in logic.

Conclusion & Verdict

Monopoly Live remains one of Evolution’s most successful game show releases, and for many players, it was the perfect game. A superb mixture of luck, nostalgia (who doesn’t remember playing Monopoly when they were younger?), and a high entertainment factor.

The combination of the classic Monopoly board, real hosts, and advanced AR technology is what allowed it to stand out from the competition when it was released back in 2019, and while today, arguably more exciting games exist (with higher win potential), Monopoly Live still holds a special place in many players’ hearts for its entertainment value!

It really is fun to play, and if you manage to trigger the bonus rounds a few times during a session, it’s surprisingly gripping waiting to see the outcome of the dice on each roll, especially if there are high multipliers present on the board! And, to top it all off, if you really love the Monopoly franchise, Evolution created Monopoly Big Baller Live, a bingo-hybrid version of the game, so make sure you give that a try, too.
