What Is Monopoly Big Baller By Evolution?

Monopoly Big Baller is a bingo-style live casino game by Evolution that combines elements of Monopoly Live and lottery-style bingo. The game’s played from a festive riverboat-themed studio, and it replaces the traditional spinning wheel with up to four 5x5 bingo cards each round.

Your goal is to try to complete horizontal or vertical lines on these cards as 20 balls are drawn from a 60-ball machine, and along the way, you’ll find special features like random free spaces and multipliers! If you’re lucky, you can even trigger the interactive 3D Monopoly Board Bonus, details of which we’ll explore later.

In our CasinoTrackpot guide, we’re going to walk you through how to play Monopoly Big Baller, look at how the game works, discuss playing strategies, and more!

Gameplay & Features

In each round, you can choose how many bingo cards to play. You can choose to play between one and four, and you also get to pick whether each card is a Free Space card or a Chance card. Once the betting round closes, Mr. Monopoly pulls a lever to randomly add extra free spaces and multiplier symbols to the cards.

20 balls, numbered 1-60, are then drawn from a live bingo machine. Each time a drawn number matches a square on your card, that square is automatically marked off, and if you manage to complete a full horizontal or vertical line on any card, you win that line’s payout, which is then multiplied by any active multis on that card or line.

Interface and User Experience

Monopoly Big Baller, like all Evolution games, is streamed live from a studio, and the overall presentation is fantastic. The studio and user interface are bright and easy to follow, and the set has been designed to resemble a vintage riverboat casino! In the middle of the stage, just behind the host, you’ll see a large transparent bingo ball machine. Up to four digital bingo cards are displayed in front of the dealer, each clearly labelled as a Free Space or Chance card with bold numbers.

An AR-animated Mr. Monopoly pulls a lever at the start of each round, adding any new free spaces or multipliers to the cards; more on how this works and what it means for you shortly.

Below the video feed, the layout is clean and intuitive, and it’s easy to place bets! Simply select the chip denominations that appear at the bottom, choose which card type to buy, and pick whether you want to bet on the 3-Roll and 5-Roll Bonus bets.

How to Play Monopoly Big Baller

Monopoly Big Baller is relatively straightforward to play, although, as with many live dealer games (especially those that differ from the money-wheel format we’ve become used to seeing so much), there may be a bit of a learning curve, particularly if you’re unfamiliar with the basic rules of bingo. Here’s what to expect when playing the game for yourself.

1. Place Your Bets:

Select how many bingo cards/tickets you’d like to play (between one and four) and set each as either a Free Space or a Chance card. You will also need to decide if you’ll be betting on the 3-Roll and/or 5-Roll Bonus cards.

2. Cards Are Dealt:

After betting closes, each selected card is filled with random numbers from 1 to 60. The cards are hidden from players.

3. Balls Are Drawn:

20 balls are drawn one by one from the 60-ball machine. Each time a drawn number matches a square on your card, that square is marked off automatically.

4. Check For Line Wins:

Whenever you complete a horizontal or vertical line on any card, that line pays out. The base payout starts at 2x your bet and is multiplied by any active line or card multipliers. Each winning line on each card pays separately.

5. Trigger The Bonus:

If you have bet on a bonus card and your 3-Roll card has 3 marks (or your 5-Roll card has 4 marks) at the end of the draw, you trigger the Monopoly Bonus, which begins at the end of the round.

6. Play The Monopoly Bonus:

In the 3-Roll bonus, Mr. Monopoly rolls the dice three times; in the 5-Roll bonus, he rolls five times, with doubles awarding an extra spin in both features. He then moves around a virtual 3D Monopoly board, collecting any multipliers on the spaces he lands on. After all rolls, the total prizes are summed up and multiplied by your bonus bet for your total payout.

Monopoly Big Baller Bonus Rounds Explained

Multipliers

Before each draw begins, you’ll notice that random multipliers appear on the cards. These can be values like 10x and 20x, on a specific number; line rewards at 20x, 50x on an entire row or column; or whole-card multipliers, worth 2x and 3x.

Now, one thing to point out is that multipliers only apply to winning lines that include the marked number or line.

Free Space Card

Free Space cards are, essentially, standard Bingo cards with the centre square already marked as a free space. This means each row or column requires only four matching numbers, so these cards allow you to complete lines more easily than the other card type (Chance).

Line payouts on Free Space cards range from 2x up to 39x your bet, although this is before any multis come into play. Plus, random extra free spaces can appear on these cards, too.

Given the higher frequency of wins on these cards, they have a lower level of volatility, and the amount you can win is also lower compared to the Chance card type.

Chance Card

The second card you can purchase is the Chance card. These cards also have a 5×5 layout, but here, the centre square holds a fixed multiplier, rather than just being “free”.

Because this centre position isn’t pre-filled, each line on a Chance card still needs five numbers to be drawn, and this is what makes it less common to form wins. However, Chance cards pay out much higher when they do hit, up to 199x your bet on a single line. These cards can also receive extra spaces and multipliers randomly.

As wins on Chance cards are harder to obtain, these cards have much higher volatility and win potential compared to their Free Space counterparts.

Monopoly Bonus Game (3 Rolls and 5 Rolls)

The Monopoly bonus game is triggered if you complete all required marks on the 3-roll or 5-roll card. It plays on a 3D Monopoly board with Mr. Monopoly. Before the bonus starts, each board space (properties, utilities, etc.) is randomly assigned a cash prize or multiplier, the same as we saw in the original Monopoly Live Evo release. Once this process has finished, Mr. Monopoly rolls virtual dice the designated number of times:

  1. 3 Rolls Bonus: Mr. Monopoly rolls the dice three times. After each roll, he moves to a new space on the board, collecting multipliers if they have one, or if it is a Chance/Community Chest card, it will reveal random prizes, potentially some losses, or an advance to a new position on the board. If he passes GO, all multiplier values are increased. After three moves, all collected values are totalled and multiplied by your 3-Roll bet to give you your total payout for the round.
  2. 5 Rolls Bonus: This works the same way, but with five rolls. The 5-Roll board also has special “Extra Roll” spaces. Landing on one adds an additional roll. It should go without saying that the win potential on the 5-Roll board is much higher, but it triggers less, naturally.

Payouts, Probabilities, and RTP

Each completed line on the bingo cards pays a fixed multiplier of your bet. Free Space card lines pay from 2x up to 39x, while Chance card lines pay from 2x up to 199x.

It’s worth noting that these payouts are before applying any additional multis, of which there can often be quite a few. Because you can have multiple winning lines on multiple cards, total returns vary a lot, and this makes it really hard to actually pinpoint, with any high degree of accuracy, what’s what.

Evolution does, however, advertise an overall theoretical RTP of about 96.10% for MONOPOLY Big Baller, but this only applies if you’re playing all bet options. In other words, if you skip bonus bets or play differently, your effective RTP will be lower.

Bet OptionPayout RangeApproximate RTP
Free Space Card2x - 39x (per completed line)96.10%
Chance Card2x - 199x (per completed line)96.10%
3 Rolls Bonus3-Roll Bonus (variable)
5 Rolls Bonus5-Roll Bonus (variable)

Now, in the table above, we’ve decided to show you the line payout ranges. There is no fixed RTP for the bonus bets alone, and their value comes only when actually triggered.

Streaming Quality

The live stream for Monopoly Big Baller is fantastic, and the game is broadcast in full HD with multiple camera angles, so you can clearly see the bingo machine, cards, and host. Like all of Evo's live game show games, the host/presenter is lively, sometimes a bit too much, and he or she guides all of the action, even offering some tips to those who may be new to the game occasionally.

The AR graphics, which flash “FREE” spaces, multiplier icons, etc., render really well, and this goes for all devices. The game is fully mobile optimised, so you can watch and enjoy the game from your mobile devices, too, albeit with a slightly smaller screen!

Monopoly Big Baller Statistic Tracking

Quite unusually, Evolution doesn’t actually provide any results history or tracking tools built directly into the game's interface. There are a few statistics allowing you to see the number of balls drawn and how many remain for the current game round, but as there are multiple results for each game round, the provider likely figured it was simply too much information to display on screen.

They also probably assumed that not enough players would be interested in having access to these stats to make it a core feature. As a result, the only Monopoly Big Baller statistic tracking tools you will be able to use are third-party ones that collect data over time.

WHY DO PLAYERS CHECK PREVIOUS MONOPOLY BIG BALLER RESULTS?

It varies between players, but there are generally a few common reasons why people would want to use a Monopoly Big Baller statistics tracker. In our opinion, it would be nice to see the past multipliers for the bonus rounds at least directly in the playing interface.

While it is possible to ask the presenter or moderator in the chat for this information, it’s not very convenient. Another reason players might want to check today’s recent results is to see how often the bonuses have actually been landing. This is quite a common desire in most live-dealer game shows, making it all the more strange that Evo chose to skip it here.

It’s also just kind of… human nature to want to know results from previous game rounds, isn’t it? It’s nice to be able to see how many players won, what multipliers have been hitting, how recent payouts compare, and so on. Even if you know it has no impact on future game rounds, it’s still information that many players want to know, in our opinion.

Are There Any Benefits to Using a Big Baller Stats Trackers?

Honestly, it depends on what you want to get out of them. If you’re just curious about having a look around or would like to know the results from some previous game rounds, a Monopoly Big Baller stat tracker can give you a pretty good overview of historical results.

This will allow you to view information like how long it’s been since a 3- or 5-Roll Bonus landed, or what kind of multipliers have been landing on the base cards. It’s also just interesting to know how long it’s been since a well-paying bonus has landed, for example. But does it actually affect anything? Well, come on. We think you probably already know the answer is no.

Remember, every time you play a round, the game uses a random number generator to determine things like multipliers, and the balls themselves are drawn from the transparent container at the centre of the stage. So, there really is no chance for you to change anything.

However, if you’re simply the type of player who’s curious about how the game’s been playing, or you’re trying to work out whether to back the bonus bet sections or not, depending on how often (or little) they’ve landed recently, well, a MONOPOLY Big Baller stats tracker might provide you with some value.

Pros & Cons Of Monopoly Big Baller

Conclusion & Verdict

Monopoly Big Baller is, without a doubt, a solid addition to Evolution’s product lineup. Monopoly Live has proven, even six years later, to be one of their most popular releases in history, and players just love the Monopoly Board Bonus. That’s why we were pretty happy to see Evo integrating it here too, and it’s a unique technique in its own way to include it in a bingo-style game!

You still get the classic Monopoly board bonus, now triggered through bingo, along with all the familiar Chance/Chest surprises. The end result is a fast-paced, action-packed game that offers highly volatile gameplay!

In our opinion, this is a release that suits players who want variety and a bit more risk. So, if you’re a fan of games like Mega BallCrazy Time, or other bingo/lottery-style games, this will probably feel like home to you anyway.

If, on the other hand, you prefer steady, low-risk play or games where skill-based elements do matter, then this may not be the right game for you. On the whole, though, we think this is a brilliant release; it’s a lot of fun to play, and if you can trigger the 5-Rolls bonus, well, you could walk away with some monster payouts, too!
