Axom Secures $2.4 Million Investment to Accelerate AI Platform for iGaming
AI technology company Axom has secured a $2.4 million investment from existing backer the Capricorn Group as it looks to accelerate the development of its predictive intelligence platform for the iGaming and sports betting industries.
Previously operating as Ibex.ai, the company has rebranded to Axom as part of its next stage of growth. The latest funding will support further development of its AI-powered decisioning platform, which is designed to help operators better understand player behaviour and deliver more personalised customer experiences.
Rather than replacing existing CRM or marketing systems, Axom integrates with operators’ current platforms, using predictive models to identify player trends, recommend the next best action and improve customer engagement through data-driven automation.
Danny Rippon, CEO of Axom, said: “We have built Axom around a simple but powerful idea: every customer engagement decision should be tied to a commercial outcome.
“Our strength is helping businesses understand not only who to engage and when, but which next best action is most likely to create the highest value.”
AI Continues to Shape the Future of iGaming
Artificial intelligence has rapidly become one of the biggest areas of investment across the online gambling industry, with suppliers and operators increasingly using machine learning to personalise promotions, improve player retention and automate decision-making.
Axom says the latest investment will help evolve its platform towards greater automation while expanding both its dedicated iGaming division, Axom Gaming, and Axom Engage, which applies the same predictive technology across other industries.
The investment also reflects growing confidence in AI-driven technology companies serving the gambling sector, with operators continuing to search for tools that can improve customer engagement without requiring major infrastructure changes.
Robert Gottlieb, CEO of Capricorn Group, said: “The business has demonstrated that its predictive intelligence technology can deliver clear measurable commercial outcomes, and we believe there is a significant opportunity to scale that capability across iGaming, sportsbook, and in other sectors.”
As AI becomes increasingly embedded across the gambling industry, investments such as this demonstrate how technology providers are continuing to develop new tools aimed at helping operators make faster, smarter and more personalised decisions.
