IWG launches InstantFuse merging progressives into timed jackpots

Instant Win Gaming (IWG) has introduced InstantFuse, a prizing innovation that combines multiple progressive jackpot pools into a single unified prize during scheduled daily windows. The mechanic debuts within IWG’s Rocket Jackpots programme, which is live with the North Carolina Education Lottery and the Virginia Lottery and features two independent multi-lottery jackpots, Power Jackpot and Boost Jackpot, that merge into a single Power Boost Jackpot for a limited period.

Rocket Jackpots has a documented history of large wins across its multi-state progressive portfolio. InstantFuse aims to create defined moments of heightened player interest while limiting continuous jackpot fatigue by offering the larger fused prize only during those windows. IWG says the feature is powered by its InstantRGS, allowing deployment across jurisdictions without requiring platform provider development.

“InstantFuse is a true step-change in how jackpot games can be experienced. For the first time, lotteries can create scheduled moments where multiple jackpots combine into a single, more powerful prize,” said Jason Lisiecki, Executive Vice President at IWG. Representatives from the Virginia Lottery and the North Carolina Education Lottery welcomed the innovation as a new way to present progressive prizes to players.

What this means for progressive trackers and players

InstantFuse presents a clear tracking opportunity for CasinoTrackPot because the merged prize is both time-limited and progressive. Key metrics to monitor include the fused window start and end times, combined jackpot growth rate during the window, hit times and whether constituent pools continue to accumulate while fused. These will affect expected time-to-hit models and short-term probability profiles.

Next steps for tracking are to confirm whether Rocket Jackpots exposes real-time prize feeds or APIs during fused windows and to collect historical growth data for the Power and Boost pools to model combined behaviour. If feeds are available, we will add Rocket Jackpots to our progressive tracker and publish live charts and early analysis from launch. If no live feed is provided, we will monitor reported hit times and pool values and produce an initial data-driven guide for players on how to spot and time fused-window opportunities.
