Blueprint Gaming Jackpots Q&A Questions
We are delighted to be joined by Affiliate and Social Media Manager Daniel Kalinowski at Blueprint Gaming today as we chat about the studio’s iconic Jackpot King Progressive Network and new Rapid Fire Jackpot Network.

Q1: Blueprint now has two different jackpot systems (both of which are tracked here on our live casino tracker!). – Jackpot King and Rapid Fire Jackpots. For anyone not familiar, can you give us a quick overview of what each jackpot system is and how it works?
Both jackpot systems work in similar ways. The feature can trigger during any spin by landing 5 jackpot symbols.
The difference between Jackpot King and Rapid Fire Jackpots is that the original system is built to land less frequently, but when it lands, the rewards are huge. The latter system has more frequent drops but rewards players with smaller, yet still amazing, prizes.
Q2: They’re clearly built for different purposes, so what’s the thinking behind offering two separate jackpot systems, and how do you design them so they compensate one another, rather than just competing?

We see trends emerge across our families of games. Players have moved on to more action-packed slots these days, where they like to be entertained with successful spins more often.
Both jackpot systems reflect the trends of their time. Jackpot King is the classic experience of landing one big prize, where Rapid Fire Jackpots aligned more with modern expectations.
This is why they do not compete against each other and the reason for their own success with our players.
Q3: Can you walk us through the tier structures for each? What are the pots? Roughly what kind of numbers are we talking about, what jackpot seeds do you use, and how do the two systems compare in terms of prize size versus hit frequency?
Both systems are linked across selected games in their networks, which allows the prizes to be progressive.
The features can be triggered during any spin if the player lands 5 symbols respective to the system.
In Jackpot King, the player can win instant cash prizes or one of the three progressive pots – The Royal Pot, The Regal Pot and The Jackpot King, which is the top prize.
Rapid Fire Jackpot works in a similar fashion, except players can win one of the four progressive pots, starting from Mini, then Minor, Major or finally Mega, as well as instant cash prizes more frequently with lower prizes.
Q4: If you had to pick your favourite jackpot slot from Blueprint Gaming – let’s say one Jackpot King and one Rapid Fire Jackpots release – which games would you pick, and why?

We have plenty of games to choose from, including Jackpot King and Rapid Fire Jackpots, as we made sure that our players will be able to experience these systems alongside their favourite themes.
I have a soft spot for our branded titles, such as The FlintstonesTM or The GooniesTM, but I also enjoy our Kong games, so it is a close one between these three.
All those games have a great base game experience, which makes jackpot hunting more enjoyable.
Q5: Today, more game developers than ever seem to be coming out with some type of jackpot mechanic – progressive or not. How does Blueprint Gaming deal with staying at the forefront of the market?
I believe this shows a positive movement across the industry as competition means there is a need for progress for us and our competitors. We can always refine and invent the next great thing, and it is the player that ends up enjoying the wide variety of games to play. This proves how progressive igaming really is.
While we believe that our pot systems provide great experiences, they are an added feature to already established games that have enjoyed success already. Really, it is the base product that needs to be good for jackpots to work as well.
