What is the Stake Crash Game by Stake Originals?
Stake Crash is a crash game developed in-house by Stake as one of their flagship Stake Originals titles, and it belongs to the same genre as Aviator, JetX, and Spribe's other widely-cloned releases.
These games are fast-paced, multiplier-focused “curve” titles, where a rising number can crash at any moment. Your job, as a player, is to try and cash out before it does.
What makes Stake Crash (and many other Stake Originals) different from most competitors is the numbers: a 99% RTP, a fully transparent, provably fair maths model, and a maximum win potential of 1,000,000x. Yes; that’s one million times your bet.
In this Stake Crash guide, we'll cover exactly how it works, what makes it so popular, and look at what to expect before playing it for yourself.
Gameplay & Features
The core mechanic of Stake Crash is actually very simple. Each round, a multiplier starts at 1.00x and climbs continuously, visualised as a rocket that rises along a curve; the longer the rocket climbs, the higher the multiplier becomes.
At a random point, the rocket crashes, and if you’ve chosen to cash out before the crash, you win your stake, multiplied by the value at the moment you cashed out. If the rocket crashes before you cash out, you lose your stake for that round.
Now, of course, that’s nothing out of the ordinary: we’ve seen this type of Crash game a thousand times before in the online gambling world. What makes Stake Crash slightly unique is the fact that it’s a shared, multiplier game: every player in each round sees the same rocket and the same crash point. There’s a live panel on the left-hand side of the screen that shows who's still in, who's cashed out and at what multiplier, and who got caught by the crash.
There are also two additional “features”, if you like, that give you a little bit more control over the game than you’d see in typical crash games. Manual Mode allows you to play round by round: you place your bet, watch the curve climb, and hit Cash Out when you’re ready to end the round. There’s also an Auto Mode which allows you to pre-set an automatic cash-out multiplier. If the game reaches this multiplier, it automatically cashes out for you.
Interface and User Experience
Stake Crash is designed around a clean, dark-themed interface, and the rocket and the rising multiplier take up most of the screen, with the background showing a grid image that shows you quite clearly how the rocket’s climbing in real time. The current multiplier is displayed prominently, too. A history strip at the top shows you the crash points of recent rounds.
On the left-hand side of the screen you’ll find the live info window. Here, you’ll see what other players are doing, as discussed earlier. The betting controls also sit to the side of the screen, and you’ll see the bet amount field, the betting mode toggle, and the Cash Out button.
The interface is fully responsive and works the same across desktop and mobile. Given that the entire game comes down to, ultimately, one push of a button, the mobile experience is actually pretty good.
How to Play Stake Crash
Playing Stake Crash is very simple, and it’s probably one of the easiest online casino games to pick up quickly. Here’s how it works:
1. Set Your Bet:
Before the round begins, you need to enter your bet amount and decide which mode you’d like to play. In Manual mode, you'll cash out by hand during the round, while in Auto Mode, you set your target cash-out multiplier in advance.
2. The Rocket Launches:
Once betting closes, the rocket launches and the multiplier begins climbing from 1.00x. The rocket’s multiplier continues to rise, becoming faster the more time it is airborne.
3. Cash Out:
In Manual mode, hit the Cash Out button at any point to secure your winnings, which are your stake multiplied by the current value of the multiplier. In Auto mode, the game cashes you out automatically as soon as the rocket reaches your preset multiplier.
4. The Crash:
At a random point, the rocket crashes, and anyone who hasn’t already cashed out loses their stake for that round.

Payouts, Probabilities & RTP
Stake Crash doesn't use a fixed paytable, as your return is simply your total stake multiplied by the multiplier value at the moment you decide to cash out at. As such, Stake Crash is more about probabilities than anything else - and you can see some approximate probabilities below:
| Target Multiplier | Approximate Probability of Reaching It |
| 1.50x | 66% |
| 2.00x | 49.5% |
| 5.00x | 19.8% |
| 10.00x | 9.9% |
| 100.00x | 0.99% |
| 1,000.00x. | 0.099% |
As mentioned earlier in our guide, one of the game’s biggest selling points is the fact that it offers a 99% RTP, and that means the house edge is just 1%. That’s still meaningful over the long run, of course, but as far as online casino games go, it’s one of the lowest house edges you’ll find.
It’s also a lot better than what we typically see in crash games like Aviator (97%), or online slots (usually around the 95%-96% mark.) One thing to keep in mind, though: that 99% RTP factors in the extreme end of the scale, too, taking into account the 1,000,000x maximum win potential. For the typical player who won’t ever get anywhere close to that figure, the realised RTP is probably closer to 97%. That’s still a solid figure, but it’s worth understanding the slight gap when you take the one million out of the equation.
Provably Fair & Technology
This area is where Stake Crash stands out from most other crash games, and that’s because, like all Stake Originals, it runs on a provably fair system built on HMAC-SHA256 cryptography. Now, this information may not mean much to you, so in practical terms, it means the outcome of every round is mathematically pre-committed before the round begins. It can also be independently verified by any player via a provably fair verifier after it ends.
The crash point (the exact point that the rocket crashes) is chosen from a combination of a server seed (generated by Stake), a client seed (which the player controls), and a nonce, the latter of which increases every round.
Because the server seed is hashed and shown to players before the round begins, anyone is able to confirm once the game round finishes that the result isn't altered after bets are placed. Stake also goes a step further and provides a built-in verification tool for this, although you're also free to use independent third-party tools, too.
Stake Crash Statistic Tracking
Stake Crash displays a running history of recent crash points directly in the interface. You can see this on the left-hand side of the screen. It does a better job than many of the tools you see in most live dealer games today, but, for many players, it’s still a bit on the basic side.
That’s why, here at CasinoTrackpot, we decided to build our own tracking tool so that players can see how Stake Crash has been playing and performing in the long run.
If, for example, you want to see exactly what kind of multipliers have been landing over the past few days, weeks, or months, then our real-time-updating tool can show you exactly that. No, it won’t increase your chances of actually winning; each round is independent, and, as mentioned, provably fair game technology is used each round, but it can help you to get a better idea of the game’s volatility profile and help you to better gauge when it may be advisable to cash out.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- 99% RTP is among the highest of any online casino game, far higher than most crash games released today.
- Fully provably fair with player-verifiable outcomes on every round.
- Win up to an insane 1,000,000x - that’s one million!
- Auto mode with automated betting sequences means you don’t need to worry about manually cashing out every round.
- Extremely simple to learn and ideal for passing 5 minutes.
- A huge range of betting limits that accommodates players on every budget.
Cons
- No bonus features whatsoever.
- The 99% RTP includes the once-in-a-lifetime wins: the more realistic RTP is 97%.
- Stake no longer allows demo mode for most countries: you need to make an account and deposit.
- The action is over very quickly: nothing beyond a simple “cash out or no-cash out decision".
- Despite the high RTP, Stake Crash is very volatile, and it shows when you begin playing.
Conclusion & Verdict
Stake Crash is one of the better games in the crash genre, in our opinion, and it’s a pretty clear example of why building in-house games can pay off. The 99% RTP is solid, and even though it’s a tad misleading, as it includes the million-to-one shot max win, even the 97% standard payout percentage is better than most crash games, and, of course, it’s nice to know you do at least have a shot of actually winning a million times your bet!
We also like how the game uses provably fair technology, as this allows you to verify every result independently to ensure that it’s genuinely fair.
Still, there’s no escaping the fact that, while it’s dressed up a bit as a live game, Stake Crash is ultimately nothing more than a crash game. There is only one real decision to make: when to cash out, and aside from that, there are no bonus rounds, no special features, and no long-winded gameplay.
For a lot of Crash game fans, that’s exactly what they’re looking for, and if you’re the type of player who wants a no-nonsense crash game with a high RTP and huge maximum win potential, Stake Crash is well-worth a look. If you’re expecting the full live dealer casino game, however, understand that this probably isn’t it, but it doesn’t try to be.
