What is Shuffle Crash?

Shuffle Crash is the in-house crash game from Shuffle, a Curacao-licensed crypto casino that’s built a fairly impressive selection of provably fair Originals. It's a classic rocket-style crash game in the now-familiar setup, so you’ll see a multiplier starting at 1.00x and climbing, able to crash at any point. Your job is to try and cash out before it does.

Now, we’ve seen some in-house studios cutting corners recently with their crash games which have included poor RTPs and low max wins, but thankfully, that isn’t the case with Shuffle Crash. It gets the fundamentals right: a 99% RTP, full provably fair transparency, a solid selection of betting tools, and, perhaps most impressive, a maximum win potential of 1,000,000x. (And yes, that’s one million times your stake!

In our Shuffle Crash review and guide, we’re going to be taking a look at exactly how the game works and what you can expect when playing. Now, Shuffle Crash isn’t the only game in the casino’s lineup; they have a number of Originals, including Slide, Plinko, Dice, Limbo, Mines, and others, but Crash is the most popular of them, and for good reason.

Gameplay & Features

Shuffle Crash’s core mechanic is based around the standard crash style, and it’s done really well here, we feel. Each round, you simply place a bet before the round begins, and when the game starts, the curve launches and a multiplier climbs, in real time, from 1.00x.

At a randomly determined point the multiplier crashes, and if you've cashed out before that point, you win your stake multiplied by the value at which you cashed out. If you haven't, you lose your bet for the round, so it’s very simple and fundamentally the same as most crash games today.

Where Shuffle Crash does quite well compared to similar titles is with its features. The game allows you to place multiple bets at the same time, and this lets you run more than one position in a single round. You could, for example, cash out one bet early to lock in a guaranteed return, while letting a second bet continue in the hopes of hitting a bigger win.

Both manual and auto-betting modes are available, and the auto-betting here is done really nicely: you can configure advanced auto settings including conditional bet adjustment on wins and losses, stop-on-profit and stop-on-loss limits, and automated round sequences, so it’s very much geared towards the streamer/crypto/poker type of player who enjoys getting into the maths side of things and doesn't mind getting technical.

Another pretty cool feature is that the minimum bet is just $0.01, making the game accessible to, quite literally, anyone. As mentioned earlier in this review, the maximum win potential is a whopping 1,000,000x, and while you probably have more chance of seeing pigs fly than ever hitting this, it’s nice to know that, at least in theory, the potential is there!

Interface and User Experience

Shuffle Crash uses a clean, modern interface that’s pretty consistent with all of the Shuffle Originals games we see being pushed out today. The game’s visual centre is the rising multiplier, and it climbs in real-time against a dark background, with the current multiplier value displayed right in the top-middle of the screen.

A real-time player activity panel shows other players in the round, including their stakes, their cash-out points, and their outcomes, and this is how the game becomes technically classified as a live game, even though, in reality, it’s not! There’s no live chat function built into the game that allows you to talk in real-time with other players, which is probably the only “miss” here.

The betting controls are well laid out, and you’ll see a bet amount selector, a mode toggle to change between manual and auto, and a large cash-out button that displays your potential return in real time during the climb. The auto-bet panel is really quite comprehensive, too, and the overall feel of the game, in our opinion, is smooth: definitely one of the better crash games we’ve seen, in terms of design.

The game also works well on both iOS and Android mobile browsers, and despite the fact that crash games require solid responsiveness, Shuffle Crash holds up well; during our testing, we didn’t experience any lag, even when playing from a 4G connection.

How to Play Shuffle Crash

Shuffle Crash is really simple to play, and like most of the Crash genre games, it's also incredibly quick to learn. Each round begins with a betting window where you're able to place your bet. You simply need to choose your stake before the round begins, and the minimum bet, by the way, is just one cent, so Shuffle Crash is ideal for those on a budget and low rollers.

You can also place more than one bet at the same time if you want to run more than one position. This is useful if you want to place your main bet around a safe-ish cash out target and run a smaller second bet aiming for a much higher, more unrealistic target.

Once the game begins, you simply watch the multiplier climb. The curve always begins at 1.00x and increases in real time. You can click the cash out button at any time before the crash to lock in your winnings, and this equates to your bet multiplied by the current multiplier.

If you've selected auto cash out, the game cashes you out automatically at your pre-set target. If you cash out before the rocket crashes, you win, while if the crash occurs before you cash out, you lose your bet for that round and wait for the next game to begin.

Payouts, Probabilities, and RTP

Shuffle Crash uses the standard crash payout model, so your return works out to be your stake multiplied by the value at which you cash out. There is no fixed payout table, and the probability of the multiplier reaching any given value follows most crash games that use an inverse relationship model. Roughly speaking, a target of 2.00x comes up around 50% of the time, while a target of 10.00x will appear around a tenth of the time, and so on. Shuffle Crash also boasts a high RTP of 99%, and this works out to a house edge of just 1%, which makes the game one of the best in the Crash genre and matches the standard set by casinos like Stake.

Now, interestingly, the maximum multiplier you can hit while playing Shuffle Crash is 1,000,000x. Although it's worth pointing out that the max win is capped at $250,000 per round. If you're playing at a stake higher than 25 cents per round, even if you hit the max 1,000,000x multiplier, you'll be capped at a quarter of a million dollars. Still, we have a feeling that for most players that would be a win; they would be more than happy to accept.

Provably Fair & Technology

Like all Shuffle Originals, Crash runs on a provably fair system using the standard server seed, client seed, and nonce combination, and this means that the crash point for each round is determined before the round begins. Now, because the server seed is hashed and shown in advance and then revealed after, you can independently verify that the result wasn't altered after your bets were placed, and that’s something a lot of players really value at crypto casinos.

Shuffle themselves provides a built-in verification tool, and this means you can confirm the fairness of any round directly from inside the game window, something that’s actually quite useful.

Now, one caveat, and something you should always be aware of, regardless of whether you’re playing Shuffle Crash or any other crash game: provable fairness confirms that outcomes are genuinely random, but it doesn't change the house edge, and the 99% RTP is, literally, built into the game. So, fairness means that the results themselves haven’t been tampered with, but it does not mean that you have any advantage in the game over a non-provably fair one.

On the technical side, Shuffle Crash runs smoothly and loads quickly, with cash-outs registering instantly. Shuffle is licensed by the Curacao Gaming Control Board, and while that’s going to be a red flag for some players, most offshore crypto casinos are, so it’s not really something to worry about.

Shuffle Crash Statistic Tracking

Shuffle Crash displays a history of recent crash points directly inside the interface, and the real-time player activity panel shows live betting and cash-out data from other players in the round, too, which is quite a nice touch and lets you see the action as it unfolds.

The round hashes and seed information needed for fairness verification are accessible through the game history, too, and there’s also some basic game history available. Unfortunately, as is almost always the case with live dealer casino games, the information available is very limited.

That’s exactly why third-party sites like us here at CasinoTrackpot create our own tracking tools so you can get a good feel for how the game has actually been playing in the long run.

Of course, as with every provably fair crash game, each round is entirely independent, and the crash point is determined when each round begins. This means that past results don’t help you at all to win in future rounds, but using a stats tracker can be useful for helping you get a feel for the game’s volatility!

Conclusion & Verdict

Shuffle Crash is genuinely quite a good little Crash game, and it's a decent example of how in-house studios should produce Crash games properly, in our opinion. The fact that the game has a 99% RTP definitely puts it up there with one of the best to play in terms of low house edge. We also really like the fact that provably fair technology is implemented here. It's also pretty cool that Shuffle Casino has a built-in verification tool so you can check game results without even leaving your browser window.

The fact that you can bet from one cent per spin is another solid selling point, and it means that the game will appeal to players on a budget. Still, it's not all perfect, and we do find it quite strange that there is no in-game chat function, because this is something virtually all live Crash games do have. It does definitely help to make the game more interactive and social. For the vast majority of players, however, that won't be a huge issue.

If you're looking for something simple, well produced and affordable, both in terms of its minimum bet and the RTP, then Shuffle Crash is definitely worth a look.
